Thundersnow

Yesterday we woke up to HORRENDOUS thunderstorms which dumped about as much water as we got when Ivan came up through Alabama several years ago. Then the day cleared up and was close to 70 degrees and sunny.

This morning we woke up to some thunder, not as intense, with this accompaniment:

The snow is having a bizarre effect on my appetite, and frankly, I am blaming Darwin and/or bears. There is snow. I need to build up my fat storage. I am going to HAVE to eat marshmallow eggs and McDonald's just to survive this treacherous weather. You see?

That is really nutty! What is a marshmallow egg?

I'm eating for hibernation, too! Carb heavy lunch, now going to delve into the snacks. It's good to have snacks while you watch your doofus neighbors pull each other down the street on an ATV. They tied the top of an ice chest to a rope on the back of the ATV to make a "sled." And they are all wearing camo.

Snow?? Bizarre! It was 87 degrees here on Thursday and then it froze here overnight. The weather has been downright freaky.

You know what we do when we crave McDonalds? Get the cheeseburgers sans patties and throw our own healthy soy patties on at home. I swear, it tastes the same but has to save on something...

We are getting all that rain as we speak. It is freezing, and I am afraid that the world is going to be one solid sheet if ice in the morning. No good.

Marshmallow eggs and McD's in the same sentence sort of makes me never want to eat again, actually...

lol on blaming it on darwin/or bears. in nc it's been raining since yesterday, the back yard is flooded and we're supposed to be getting an assload (for us, 6") any time now. at the very least all of this rain will freeze and it we'll need zambonis to get anywhere. school will most likely be closed.
i don't like the marshmallow eggs but i love the cadberry cream eggs. yum!

Mmm...McDonald's. To survive our little blast of cooler weather (temps in the 60's high to 30's low- oh my!) I had to make beignets and peach cobbler. It is all gone and it has barely been 24 hours.

Bears!!!! Might you be a member of the Colbert Nation, my friend?!

Thunder snow freaks me right the hell out. It seems so unnatural, the world must be ending.
