Since Monday is Fat Test day...I took it...AND
I let my A in being a Fat Fat McButterFat slip away, and I scored a mere 89.49%!! Apparently the chip I carried around on my shoulders all of March weighed in at about 3.8lbs. Which if you recall, is more weight than I lost all of March. ALL. OF. MARCH.
Other differences between last Monday and today?
~My house is CLEAN. company. clean. organized. awesome.
~Mr. P and I got our groove back.
~I am back to getting work done, real, solid work.
This is in spite of two bits of news that could have derailed the whole damn thing:
1. A test they asked me to do for my 'conditional acceptance' did not turn out well. NOT good news. Could potentially trash my whole paper. I did a mini-freak out, but after I took a quick jog! and thought it through, I realized I don't think I did it quite right, and I am not convinced it is actually the right test to run. Still has me a bit unnerved, but I can't truly believe one statistical test stands between me and tenure. If it does, then this is not the school for me anyhow.
2. Boatie is pretty sick. And it is going to be expensive to get her fixed. So...we trashed our plans for an AnniVEGASary. We hit the big 2-0 this month, and we were going to fly to Vegas and renew our vows. Really it is a no-brainer for us...4 days in Vegas, or all summer of boating?
Well, I better get going and get a quick run in before I head to work...I still have a BUNCH of failing to be fat to do!!

Congrats on the B+! May your grades continue to slip!
Okay, maybe not as romantic as Vegas, but I bet you could find a fun "staycation" way of renewing your vows.
I know we took a staycation this year for our anniversary and it was awesome!
Great Job! I stayed exactly the same, but I haven't been doing my best either....
What is wrong with the boat?
Way to fail the fat test! I was up 5 pounds last week and after relaxing this weekend I'm down 4. Funny how much good just letting the angst go can do.
I would have had a harder time, I think, deciding between boating and a Vegas-versary...but I totally see your reasoning. :)
Anon: There is a plug at the bottom of the head that rusted out...so they have to pull the head out and replace the plug.
Sounds pretty dirty to me. I think the mechanic was coming on to Mr. P.
But she should be all better for Easter boating!
Congrats on your loss! It sounds like you really have a great attitude about everything. Keep up the good work! :)
Yaaaaaaaaaay! Way to fail!!!
Sorry about Vegas, but glad you've got boating in your future. We'll have to compare stories.
Yay to losing weight. And boo to a sick boat. Hope it's repaired soon!
Oh Congrats! I gained in March. I was awful all month, pretty much, and I really wish I was exaggerating, but I'm not. lol
I'm happy for you, though, and feeling a bit more motivated each time I read your blog!
So you have lost 10% of your weight now, right? That is major! Congratulations... you are doing so great.
Whoo hoo! B+! That is awesome you are failing!
And if the only difference is that the house is clean and you have your groove back, you two must have some, ahem, marathon moves or you like a really, really clean house. And you clean it with a toothbrush.
And I would choose the boat too.
I hope your boat gets better soon :) Vegas will always be there - at least that's what I hope because I got married there and want to renew my vows there when I get to 20 years too!
you=loser : ) he he you got a b+ young lady, now go to your room.
i'd get the boat fixed too rather than go to vegas. and thank god for getting your grove back.
we should all do the humpty dance to celebrate ; )
oh, poor boatie! (haha, i love that you call her boatie.)
how about this - once she's fixed, why don't you get your vows renewed ON THE BOAT? :-)
you're so awesome at failing the fat test!!! :-)
