- Lost 39.6 pounds, which brings me to 85.55% of the woman I was with respect to size, but incredibly I have grown tremendously in the experiences department!
- I put over
500615.89 miles on my Nike+, and wore out TWO pairs of running shoes. I have logged an EIGHT mile run. I have run in count 'em, 1, 2, 3 10K's, and4FIVE 5K's that I can remember (I had forgotten about the one the day after the 10K). I registered for my first half marathon (and have since registered Mr. P as well.) - I took my first Body Pump class.
- I went kayaking AND skiing.
- I got used to eating breakfast.
- I bought and WORE clothes from regular stores...including a bathing suit!
- I broke out of super, extra obese and got down to plain old ugly obese.
So we are wrapped around to this first week of January. Yogurt, fruit, and whole grain bread in the fridge. Gym bag packed and plans to meet Mr. P after work at the gym to get reacquainted with the weight machines and/or Body Pump. Printing out a copy of the class schedule so we can create our schedule...I love a good schedule especially when I have been OFF schedule for over a month.
Thanks for bearing with me for what has been a good year on retrospect, even though I whined an awful lot. I have it pretty damn good.
Thanks for all the well wishes for my friend. I am afraid the prognosis is worse than I expected, although granted, he is alive. I have some stuff I want to write about tomorrow after a critical surgery is conducted today.

You have accomplished a LOT this past year--I am so proud of you (not that you give a whiff what I think, but I'm just sayin').
I hope your friend gets through the critical surgery and that the prognosis is better than expected. I no longer know what to say about these issues...the human body and the things that can go wrong are just perplexing. Thinking of you.
That looks like a lot of fun!
I've been doing this since May of 2007 (of course there has been days/weeks/months that I fall off the wagon, but in general)...
I think I have finally commited to a lifetime of being healthier rather than a "Diet" with a start and end.
WHOO HOO! That is FAN-FREAKIN-TASTIC!
I am so proud of you (not to be condescending), but keeping true to eating healthy and exercising month after month is not easy and you did it! Plus, I really like your ski outfit- very cute! Hope 2010 brings you a C or maybe even a D!
Hope your friend sails through the surgery and the surgery accomplishes what the physicians need it to do. May he have no more complications and start to improve instead.
What a great post - you did do a lot in one year! Love the skiing picture - that must have been fun. And your pink matching accessories are PERFECT!!!
Wow, that is some list of accomplishments, missy! You've come so far in one year - it's great to see what is possible for one person.
I'm glad you signed up your hubby for the 1/2 marathon! ;-)
I'm sorry to hear about your friend.
You are all flavors of awesome!
You are so inspiring! Wow! What a great year. Those six weeks off don't count. Besides... who doesn't have those? Robots? Come on :) Woo hoo for you!
I am sorry to hear your friend is worse off :(
You are rockin it my friend! I'm impressed with your wrap around! 2010 will be even better because of it!
You have so much to be proud of! Keep it up!!!
I am sorry about your friend and will keep him in my thoughts.
Your list of accomplishments makes me happy. I feel like I was along for the ride on many of them!
You look really cute in your ski bunny picture.
I think the whole blogosphere is getting back into action after slacking off over the holidays. (I know I did). I am also back to the yogurt, fruit, and Kashi.
I am so thrilled for you that you've had such an amazing year, personally. You are truly an inspiration, and I'm serious. I think about you often when I have a decision to make about food, exercise, etc. Good for you for getting out there and just doing it!!! You should write to Nike and tell them your story - I bet they'd GIVE you a new pair of shoes.
My fingers are crossed for your friend, and his family. His poor, poor wife and children. At this point, they're the ones suffering for his, sorry, idiocy, and my prayers are with them.
I have always said that to make real progress forward, sometimes you have to take a few steps back. No use harboring on the past month or so; instead focus on moving forward and continuing on your path.
Way to be, HP! Thanks for sharing your journey with all of us.
Thinking good thoughts for your friend.
Keep up the good work, you have come far and it seems like you have made quite the lifestyle change, for the good!
So sorry to hear your friend is not doing well.
