It is a cycle for me too - eat healthy/exercise... well, except for these past two weeks, where I stuffed my face while training for the half and gained 5 pounds. WOO HOO!!!

Hee hee. My trainer once told me that 80% of weight loss happens in the kitchen...and sometimes I still want to cry when I think about that!
Take care of yourself, you'll be back in the swing of things soon enough!wafelenbakhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17899158433656824631noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4346484163998378215.post-61200346088970394802009-05-04T18:09:00.000-05:002009-05-04T18:09:00.000-05:00You can have a cough (with no other symptoms at al...You can have a cough (with no other symptoms at all) for 3 weeks until you need to see a doctor. They should give you antibiotics and treat you for "atypical pneumonia".

If you start to run fever or have other symptoms, you can wait 3-7 days before going to the doctor (depending on the severity of the symptoms). Not Your Aunt Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11170586207423260492noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4346484163998378215.post-61255374999118574442009-05-04T14:51:00.000-05:002009-05-04T14:51:00.000-05:00oh lady, i am feeling your pain. my knee has been....oh lady, i am feeling your pain. my knee has been.. um.. wonkylike, for about 2 weeks. i finally gave up and stopped running to give it a "rest" to try to heal it, and bah. now i feel like crap, i am absolutely certain i have put on weight (and definitely the fat kind, not the muscle kind!) and i'm all grumpy about it. AND i'm being an idjit and won't go to the dr about my knee, because if i don't see a doc, he can't tell me i've done something serious to my knee. smart, right? ;-)Alicehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15287792370490363047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4346484163998378215.post-31399668242878125272009-05-04T14:36:00.000-05:002009-05-04T14:36:00.000-05:00Have you tried honey? That is what we give Steamboat when he has a cough, he loves it, but I'm not sure how well it works....

Maybe you should try a reward system where you can't go out until you have gone to exercise that day or something...it is hard if you aren't on a schedule

tracyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4346484163998378215.post-33301691827023198892009-05-04T14:04:00.000-05:002009-05-04T14:04:00.000-05:00You need to rest. And that is after a week's worth of resting, antibiotics, steroids, advil, allergy meds, and asthma inhalers. It is no fun to cough up a lung.

Once you're better I think you'll lose the weight you gained. I think your body holds on to what it can when you're sick (unless you can't eat- then you lose weight). Hang in there!

And how do you know how much of it is fat and how much is muscle? Do you have a fancy scale or get tested somehow? Lemme know when you get a sec.Not Your Aunt Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11170586207423260492noreply@blogger.com
